Get To Know VyStar@Work

Our VyStar@Work program provides a variety of no-cost educational resources to help people achieve their financial dreams. Interested in taking advantage of the many benefits the program has to offer? Keep reading to find out more.

What is VyStar@Work?

This program brings our services into the community instead of waiting for individuals to come to us. Our intent is to meet people where they are on their financial journeys and offer valuable knowledge as well as credit union services to businesses, underserved populations and people who may otherwise never visit a branch.

How does it work?

VyStar representatives visit businesses and organizations to promote financial well-being through the credit union lens. These representatives are spread throughout VyStar, including in each of our branches. They might attend a businesses’ new hire orientation or an organization’s event and educate people about the benefits of credit union membership. They also offer onsite enrollment, free money-management counseling, financial wellness presentations and access to our free health savings account program.

How has it impacted the community?

VyStar@Work was originally created to spread financial awareness to businesses and their employees, but its purpose has spread to incorporate more than just businesses. In August, VyStar@Work Manager Kemal Gasper made a visit to Jacksonville-based nonprofit Don’t Miss a Beat and held a seminar with students and their parents to discuss the importance of financial wellness. Participants had the opportunity to become members through our onsite enrollment process. This grassroots approach to spreading the credit union movement has allowed us to organically grow our membership and better the financial futures of more people.

How can it help me?

Representatives of the program regularly host no-cost seminars designed to teach financial well-being to anyone willing to further their financial acumen. Some past seminars include “Benefits & Perks of the VyStar @Work Program,” “Teenagers & Money: How to Succeed” and “Women in Investing: Invest in Yourself.” Additionally, we offer numerous resources on our website that allow members and potential members to participate in self-paced online financial courses as well as receive free counseling to help reach their financial goals.
